Last summer was an unforgettable experience, full of
fun and excitement. I went to
California, to a host family, to practice my English. I never thought that the
destiny would carry me to a special friend. A friend who, actually, was one day
so close to me.
The first time I saw her was on the bus we took in
Donosti to go to the airport. She was a very shy and quiet girl, but she seemed
nice. The days passed, the sun was shining in California and we were having
fun. I made a lot of friends but I realized that I had with Maddi, that shy
girl, a special connection. We laughed a lot together and, somehow, we
understood each other. We had a really good time.
One day, when we went to spend the evening with other
friends in Laguna Beach, something surprising happened. Maddi was typing on the
phone and I looked at the screen. I thought I saw something in the background,
but I thought it couldn’t be true. She couldn’t have a picture of my favorite band
in her mobile phone. We were totally different. Absolutely different! That had
to be... impossible?
Finally we realized we liked the same group and that
we have been in the same concert in 2010! In the same area of the event, so
close each other! We were puzzled, really shocked, for three days. And we keep
smiling every time we remember that. Definitely, music makes people come
together.
Hey Yaiza,
ResponderEliminarpretty good job. Not very many grammar mistakes at all :) I especially like the ending: music certainly does bring people together!
